Alas, We Too Have Limits

At this point, Spiderweb Software only has two employees. Most of our time
is spent processing orders, developing Nethergate, buying office supplies,
and just, in general, keeping everything running. We're also spending a lot
of time checking Blades scenarios and modifying our web site to include
them.

Unfortunately, we're getting caught in a big time pinch. We're getting too
many Blades Scenarios, and most of them, to be honest, are not being liked
at all. We're getting some pretty nasty, nasty responses from the scenario
evaluation editor. Some scenarios are really buggy. Some are really tiny.
Some are just messes. Each scenario takes about a half an hour of our time
to process, and this time is wasted if we just have to take the scenario
down because its author couldn't take the time to test it.

So, from now on, we sadly have no choice but to start rejecting certain
scenarios. This is the form E-mail we'll be sending, which explains our
current standards:
>>
Thank you very much for submitting your scenario. However, alas, we're
afraid we can't put it on our web site.
The acts of virus checking, graphics converting, content examining,
uploading, and web site modification are time-consuming for each new
scenario. Because of this, as we're a small company, with limited
resources, we unfortunately can't afford to process scenarios which:

   -Are unfinished or very buggy.
-Are trivial, i.e. are extremely small and with little in the way of
dialogue, plot, or special encounters to recommend them.
-Are utilities, treasure warehouses, or in other ways offer very little
in the way of play value.
-Are partial scenarios which, while interesting to other scenario
developers, are not playable by themselves.

We recommend looking at the scenarios Bandit Busywork, Islands of the
Wheel, and Riddle of the Spheres. These are scenarios which, while having
some bugs or are quite small (in the case of Busywork), have good play
value and have been found worthwhile for prominent placement on our site.
Also, all is not lost. If you place your scenario on a web site, please be
sure to send us the URL. We will have a page specifically for links to web
sites with other Blades of Exile materials and scenarios.
We're sorry about this, and truly wish we had time to process and make
available every scenario we get. Good luck with your future design, and be
sure to let us know if you have something new.

We really would love to put everyone's work up on our site. We just can't.
It takes too much time, and people get too mad at us when we offer for
download scenarios which don't work. Sorry about this, and good luck ...
